Light Touch™ instantly turns any flat surface into a touch screen (Photos)

This portable and interactive projector uses holographic projection technology to create a 10.1″ touch screen with complete interaction capabilities. Think virtual touchscreen or virtual keyboard, generated from a this tiny portable device. While the Light Touch is currently only a reference product and “available to key customers and partners”, the potential is huge. The video images are produced in WVGA resolution from a projector that contains integrated infrared sensors to detect motion.

The possibilities include any touch application from a virtual keyboard, to similar interactions found with a touchscreen handheld device. The Light Touch is currently on display at CES.
